I reckon A Million Little Pieces is one of my favourite books and I loved My Friend Leonard, but I skipped giant chunks of this book, mostly because I don't think Frey's writing style worked as well this time around. It's well suited to an addict's voice, but just didn't do it for me this time. And there were a lot of predictable characters and plot points. Once I got past all the eye-rolling and let myself skip over the LA bits and what I considered to be irrelevant vignettes, I did get really into some of the story lines...but it was a lot of eye-rolling.
This one loses. I was really looking forward to it, too.
